Costume jewellery comes and goes but one style that is here to stay (for now) are statement earrings and the bigger and bolder you go when it comes to decorating your lobes – the better! So, it’s time to release that inner Pat Butcher and embrace some shoulder dusting ear candy. We are technically still in the summer season so there’s lots of gorgeous earrings out there with tassels, vibrant colous and beaded details, the holiday wardrobe must-have accessory if you’re jetting off somewhere. But, with the Autumn collections trickling into store keep your eyes peeled for decadent jewels, 80’s style plastics and mismatched pairs…I know it sounds wrong and likely to give you ear ache in more than one way, but take a look below to see the how to fash pack are doing it.

OK, I’ll admit, not every look up there is easy to wear, you’ve really got to own it if you’re rocking mismatched pairs (be prepared for some weird comments) but the high street has picked up this trend really well (especially Mango) and made it wearable.
If you’re on the hunt for a quick injection of affordable style, that will instantly bring your look up-to-date without any big purchases, accessories are always the best place to start. I love a huge pair of hoops but here’s a few more of my current high street favs.
