Make mine Metallic

When it comes to autumn winter wardrobes there is nothing like a little shimmer and shine to lift your outfit, especially as we are nearing the dreaded C word (Christmas) and all those festive plans are starting to fill out the calendar! But this season there is no need to keep your metallics purely for partying.  I’m a firm believer in not saving your best for best, within reason, so maybe trying a little something shiny is just what your look needs.

There’s a whole host of ways to wear metallic this season.  I must admit when I think about wearing the shiny stuff it’s always in silver for me, closely followed by gold, but if you fancy a change there is a rainbow of colour out there to explore, in all sorts of fabrics, mat or high shine…Take a peak

Can you believe the variety of colour on the AW17 catwalks? Just check out that vivd pink jumpsuit at Temperley London and the bold, blue mini dress at Saint Laurent (which Primark have an absolute double of and I’ve listed below if you like).  As mentioned earlier, I prefer my metallics in the more traditional hues and would honestly struggle to rock out a top to toe look, instead I opt only for the toe – I LOVE metallic shoes!  Metallic footwear is a staple in my wardrobe, whether that’s in boot, court or trainer form and if you’ve not tried it you should, it’s surprising how easily a pair of silver shoes will go with pretty much everything.

On that note it’s over to my high street favs for their magnificent metallic offerings.  I’ve linked below those that are currently available and some are coming very soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
