Take me to the River

I love shopping on our high street, of course it’s nice to have a few designer bits here and there, but mixing those with high street purchases is the way forward, especially as the design teams are able to recreate the catwalk looks so quickly and more importantly, affordably.

This week I headed into London, baby girl in tow, and off we went to Oxford Street to see what’s currently in store at River Island.  Might sound boring for Remy but the kids collection honestly rivals the adults when it comes to style, and yes, she picked up and couple of pieces too!

To my surprise the shop was full of colour, of course there was the usual black and grey for die hard fashionistas, but I was drawn to the bright pinks, yellow and of course red.  The first thing that caught my eye was a beautiful bright red biker and what grabbed my attention initially was how similar it is to the Acne styles, that also have a four figure price tag!  Once I had it in my hands I loved it even more, the hardware, the soft fluffy lining and weight of it, all for £68.

If you missed my vlog earlier this week you can see the biker and more below.  It’s not a huge haul and it was driven totally by what I liked, not necessarily what’s ‘on trend’.  I’ve linked everything in the vid, below the video, just in case you see anything you like too.

Yellow jumper £45, Vinyl trousers £36, Faux shearling biker £68, Alannah jeans £42, White lace blouse £35, Pink wide sleeve jumper £45, Molly jeans £50
