Monday Musings has returned after a little half term break, with holiday vibes continuing to dominate my brain, so today my musings consist of a few items I wish I’d had in my holiday wardrobe last week, but also things that remind me of far flung destinations once I’m back to my sanctuary that is Essex.
First up I’ve had a couple of questions around swimwear. I’m firmly in the one-piece camp now, which I’ve finally got my head around as it was always about more tan, less tan lines! I love this Melissa Odabash one shoulder number from The Outnet, it has stunning cut-out detailing on the back and you can obviously pull the straps down if you’re getting your tan on, meaning no dreaded strap marks to accessorise with your evening outfit!
I’m sandal obsessed and nothing sets off a tanned pair of feet and fresh pedi as well as a gorgeous pair of sandals does. I spotted these pom pom pretties from Rae Feather on Instagram, they come in a variety of colour ways (including an incredible rainbow zig zag pair), but I’m particular partial to these navy stripe slides, especially as I have the most perfect little woven clutch that would go with them, and to pull the whole look together I’d want this easy-breezy, jumpsuit from Mango in my wardrobe – NOW!
Looking good and smelling good go hand in hand right? I’ve blogged before about my love for Estee Lauders’ Bronze Goddess, but the bottle can be quite chunky, especially if you’re you only travelling with hand luggage. Thankfully Next are looking out for us in the fragrance department with their Summer Sun perfume. Not only does it smell just as delicious as my Estee Lauder fav, but it comes in these handy handbag size bottles, saving you space and money!
Lastly, something for the home. When it comes to money I’m pretty good at burning through it, especially when it comes to candles, but now Aldi have come to the rescue with their incredible scented candle ranges. I’ve been a fan of their Jo Malone-esq candles for sometime and now they’ve launched a new collection that is reminiscent of Diptyque. I have the Aldi individual Fig candle and I’m now on the hunt for the multipack featuring three different scents, but they’re sold out….EVERYWHERE!!
Finally, I want to bring some totally tropical vibes to our front room. I’m a sucker for cushions and ours are in desperate need of updating, H&M Home is one of my favourite places to peruse. This palm print cushion cover will look perfect on our bright banana yellow arm chair!
And there we have it! I hope you have a fab week, let me know if you spy any of those Aldi candles!
