If there is one fabric that is taking over fashion this summer it’s got be linen. The British summertime can be a tough season to dress for, you might need to leave the house in the morning with a coat and umbrella only to return in the evening wearing sandals and sunglasses! This is why linen is such a good choice in the summer months.
You might believe that linen should only be worn as part of your holiday or casual wardrobe, which there is no denying, it’s perfect for those long lazy, hazy days, but right now the high street is also making linen accessible to the smarter parts of your wardrobe, and that extends to workwear too.
Zara have some great blazers and smart trousers that look super chic worn together, but also add depth to your wardrobe as you can split them up. Topshop have a super cute linen cami in five gorgeous colour ways, it would just be rude not to take one of each at only £19! Mango and Warehouse have an incredible selection for all you linen lovers out there, I found it hard to narrow down my favourites at these two. And finally if you are looking for those linen holiday essentials you can’t go wrong in Next (I can personally vouch for the playsuit below as I’ve tried it on).
So I could go on but you’d probably rather take a look for yourself. Here’s a round up from the high street (and all linked below) showing you how to get that easy breezy linen look for summer.
