Today’s Monday Musings has taken a twist, it’s still fashion but for the mini people in your life. Even if you don’t have your own mini me’s don’t close down the page just yet as you may have nieces, nephews or close friends with kids who will all love you a little bit more (as will the parents) if you give a cool little outfit rather than more noisy toys when it comes to birthday and Christmas presents.
I often get stopped and asked about items from my kids wardrobes, hence today’s blog and you know, sharing is caring and nobody likes someone that keeps a good outfit details to themselves, whether it’s adult or child sized.
I try not to spend too much on what they wear as they grow out of clothing as quickly as I can buy it, and I like to maximise the cost per wear on everything – especially when it comes to shoes!
I pick up most of the kids clothing in the high street stores that I shop for my own wardrobe, so Zara, H&M and River Island to name just a handful, but also in the supermarket whilst squeezing in the weekly shop, killing two birds with one stone on both occasions. You don’t need to spend a lot on kids clothing, most of the time it’s not worth it as they can ruin a t-shirt within seconds of popping the tags, but by not spending much doesn’t mean you have to comprise on the style or quality.
My Monday Musings round up includes items that have caught my eye online, in-store or are already hanging in my little munchkins wardrobes’. I bought Remy the pink leopard print swimsuit from Primark you see below before we went away in May, it’s only £2.50 and has been in the sea, the pool and the wash and still looks as bright and bold as when I first bought it. Hendrix lives in Vans, they may be a little more expensive but we always pick up a bargain in the sales. Not all Vans are garish ‘look at me’ styles like the Hulk feet from the Vans x Marvel collection I’ve included below, they have lots of classic and clean styles that will go with every part of your kids wardrobe, smart or casual.
So have a little look and let me know what you think, as well as anywhere you love to shop for the kids.
