Monday Musings – Hell for Leather

Ahhh leather.  Once the wardrobe staple of hairy bikers and dominatrix’ alone, leather is now more mainstream ever.  Most of us own a leather biker jacket in some shape or form, but thanks to the AW18 catwalks at Victoria Beckham, Miu Miu and Givenchy, to name only a few, should you consider adding a leather dresses, skirt or shirt to your winter wardrobe must-haves?

I’m a leather lover, and a lover of faux leather too, as sometimes leather can give a little too much and all that cash you splashed on a pair of swanky leather strides, that have now stretched beyond what you might’ve hoped for, could have been better spent elsewhere. When you want to do dressed up but not, Saturday night out out but not necessarily hitting the club disco diva style anymore, then leather is the grown up, smart, sophisticated and sexy way to go.  I would normally do a trouser but this season it’s all about next level leather, and as I already mentioned, the AW18 catwalks were awash with leather looks, and the hottest way to wear this season is in dress format.  What if you don’t do dresses though (I generally don’t in the winter, I hate tights too much)? Well don’t panic because the high street has gone hell for leather on leather with a whole host of ways to wear, and whatever your favourite item of clothing is, you can bet it’s been given a fresh new look in leather.

Here are a few of my high street favs and directly linked below.
